THEY ARE NOT UHF CB OR MARINE VHF OR COMMERCIAL TWO-WAY RADIO TRANSCEIVERS!!
Although the AT-588 & AT-5189 VHF/UHF transceivers are of commercial construction
& have passed FCC & CE approvals etc. they can not be used here in Australia legally on any
other frequencies other than the amateur bands, this is due to them not having (at the moment) the ANZ C tick approval
Therefore Please Note
2 Metre VHF radios are locked on transmit between 144-148Mhz
70cm UHF radio’s are locked on transmit between 420-450Mhz
10 Metre HF radio’s are locked on transmit to 28-29.7Mhz
All radio’s have to be locked on transmit to the Amateur bands only as per ACMA requirements
Extended receive coverage is VHF 138-174Mhz & UHF 400-490Mhz
